Newborn Infant Now Lives with Half-Sister

May 10, 2021
KANSAS: Baby Sabrina* was just two-months-old when she entered the foster care system. The name and residential address of a paternal great aunt was the only information social services provided Cornerstone's of Care, a foster care case management agency dedicated to finding loving families and support networks for children in need.

Using our technology tools, the family-finding professionals at Cornerstones of Care entered the name and address of Sabrina's paternal great aunt and quickly identified 36 other connections that could potentially help the newborn thrive.

After extensive walk-throughs and background checks, the professionals at Cornerstones of Care decided that Baby Sabrina would be safe and loved in the home of her half-sister. Our technology also helped discover a great aunt and other family members who have expressed a great interest in being involved in Sabrina's life.

Additionally, the father of Sabrina’s half-sister has agreed to help the baby by taking the responsibility to support Sabrina's family bonds with healthy extended family members. It takes a village to raise a child and because of the professionals at Cornerstones of Care, Sabrina has a supportive village to help her grow up in a healthy environment.
